Newport: The Rosecliff Mansion, built in 1899, was used in the movie. The Mansion was modeled after Versailles in France and during the celebration that followed its erection, Harry Houdini put on a private performance for the guests. It is now maintained by the Preservation Society of Newport County and is open to the public from April 9 until November 11 each year. Additionally, the Mansion plays host to the Newport Flower Show in June each year.
