Lincolnshire: The Lincoln Abbey is used as a stand-in for Westminster Abbey as the latter refused any filming to take place there.

 

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) - Northumberland, London, Gloucestershire

Northumberland: Alnwick Castle in Alnwick was used as the Hogwart's School
London: The Australian Commission in Strand was used as Gringott's Bank. Also, King's Cross St. Pancreas train station was used for Platform 9 3/4.
Gloucestershire: The Gloucester Cathedral in Gloucester was depicted as the exterior of Hogwart's Castle.

 

Libertine (2004) - Warwickshire, Cornwall, London, Somerset, Wales

Somerset: Montacute House in Montacute
Wales: Tretower Court in Powys
London: Outside London, in Surrey, filming takes place at Hampton Court Palace. This was one of Henry VIII's palaces in the early to mid 1500s. It now features extensive educational programs, unique exhibits such as Victorian photography, a hedge maze, and even an ice skating rink in the winter.
